Washing a tapestry

Have you ever wondered how you wash a valuable tapestry that measures 13 feet x 11 feet?

See through the eyes of the textile conservators as they wash the 17th-century Mortlake tapestry "February" in a wash bath built specifically for the museum’s largest tapestries at Hampton Court Palace in the UK. The tapestries are cleaned using deionized (soft) water and a special detergent mixture
